Fear Falls Burning

  • Year Of No Light+Fear Falls Burning+Nadja+... Souvenir's Young America+Conifer+Lesbian
  • YEAR OF NO LIGHT offers us two new tracks with studio collaborations with FEARS FALLS BURNING and NADJA While on an east coast tour in November of 2007, CONIFER (Important Records) and LESBIAN (Holy Mountain) drove to Richmond, Virginia arriving at 5a.m. and ended up crashing at the Sound Of Music recording studio for two nights. There to play a show with SOUVENIR'S YOUNG AMERICA (Crucial Blast) at the Nara Sushi, all three bands (11 members total in one live room) entered the studio on very little sleep and recorded roughly two hours of improvised music... very loosely structured and minds somewhat altered... These sessions birthed what will be known as "Space Mountain Forever." (Music Fear Satan)

Feeling Of Love (The)

  • Feeling Of Love (The) - Dissolve Me - LP - 12€
  • "New full album by this French band! Contains 11 tracks of their Garage-Punk, with nods to Psychedelic-Beat and Kraut-Rock. Recorded in a big bouncy sound, pretty different from their primitive and raunchy earlier recordings. The band calls it "Kraut-Space-Garage", and the label says "think SPACEMEN 3 meet PUSSY GALORE meet VELVET UNDERGROUND"... Pretty similar in style to the BUGS, but not as good. What doesn't mean this is bad, it only means the BUGS are better!" (listen The Feeling of Love) (Born Bad)

France Sauvage

  • France Sauvage - s/t - LP - 10€
  • Improvisation tinged with humor and humility, a rare approach. From the strangely nerdy harpsichord to the spirit of serenity and clusters of small noises and explosions, from the male vocals competing without meaning, trying to scream higher and higher, to the supervisor berating students for smoking, Couper Les Tchou-Tchou delivers new ideas and much-needed rawness to a frequently fixed and ossified genre. France Sauvage is an free kraut noise trio from Rennes (Fr). Co-released by Les Potagers Natures and Bimbo Tower.

Fredag Den 13 : E

  • Fredag Den 13 : E - Under Iskalla Fanon - LP - 8€

Fubar

  • Fubar - Justification Of Criminal Behaviour - LP - 8€
  • "First full length effort from F.U.B.A.R (Netherlands). This is quite chaotic grindcore with unconventional song-structures and a lot of variation in musical style. Mainly grindcore, a twist of crustpunk, powerviolence" (TVG)

  • Lycanthrophy / Fubar - Split - 7" - 3.5€
  • Lycanthrophy is a ferocious female-fronted fastcore band hailing from the Czech.  And F.U.B.A.R. is probably one of the best Fastcore bands around. (Bones Brigade)

Fuck On The Beach

  • Fuck On The Beach / Matka Teresa - Split - 7" - 3€
  • "The heroes of Japanese mad hardcore are back! Two new tracks here, still raw, insane and straight-to-the-point.! Matka Teresa: extreme nihilism grinding power crustcoreviolence featurung two guys in Brazil (ex Abuso Sonoro/Point Of No Return/Manifest/Acao Positiva.....and three guys from Poland (ex Mass Slaughter/Process Terror/Extermination). Faster faster." (listen Fuck On The Beach) (RSR)

Funk Police

  • Funk Police - Hot We Are Funk We Play - LP - 11€
  • "One more masterpiece outta France. The typical no-wave fury of La Grande Triple Alliance Internationale De l'Est gets over some smoky dark funk grooves. Like Pop Group, Gang Of Four or PiL, Funk Police steals black rhythms from an hypothetical rainforest and hurl them into their concrete jungle. Throbbing bass, sharp upbeat guitars and schizoid vocals over the haunting tribal drums. Ten damp tracks on black vinyl with stunning artwork!" (Avant!)

Future Islands

  • Future Islands - Undressed - 12" - 10€
  • "Undressed" is a recording of acoustic versions of four Future Islands favorites from their earlier records. (Thrill Jockey)

  • Future Islands - In The Fall - 12" - 10€
  • "This four-song In The Fall 12″ is a great warm-up for synthesized North Carolina-to-Baltimore “post wave” trio Future Islands super second album In Evening Air. They’re like seasoned, salty ’80s UK veterans though they formed in Greenville, NC in 2003. The songs are dense, catchy, depressed, ecstatic, cathartic. Samuel T. Herring’s vocals and lyrics resonate like Tom Waits after listening to a Frog Eyes album. The EP includes an extended version of In Evening Air‘s “Tin Man” along with a song from 2007 (“Virgo Distracts”), an In Evening Air outtake that didn’t fit with the others (“Awake & Dreaming”) and gorgeous standout “In The Fall,” a downcast synth ballad the band recorded with the Celebration’s Katrina Ford in the aftermath of a blizzard a few weeks after finishing the full-length. Winter, yeah, but the bleary-eyed autumnal cover shot by Bruce Willen captures the mood. Basically, use whatever season it takes to suck the Spring out of a room." (Trhill Jockey)

  • Future Islands / Lonnie Walker - Split - 7" - 4,50€
  • "Future Islands and Lonnie Walker both grew up in North Carolina, mostly near the beach. Core members of each group have been life-long friends, have at times played in the same band, and also went off to college together. While one group churns out synth pop that will make your heart twist and your feet bounce, the other supplies country punk fit for any type of DIY hoedown. Both “The Ink Well” and “Love Turns” feature production by Chester Endersby Gwazda, a dude responsible for Future Islands’ In Evening Air and Dan Deacon’s Bromst. The Future Islands track was written and recorded this summer, while “Love Turn” has been a few years in the making." (Friends)
