  • Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp - The Thing That Everything Else Is About - LP - 12€
  • "This the is the second LP by the Geneva-based Afrodelic agit-skronk surrealist sextet, who now feature Wilf Plum, formerly of Edinburgh’s blartiest avant-punk combo Dog Faced Hermans, on drums. With Liz Moscarola’s urgent vocals fronting a reckless junkyard stew of trombone, upright bass, scritchy-scratchy guitar and Anne Cardinaud’s wiggy marimba freakouts, the umbilical link is plain to hear, both on their just released second album, The Thing That Everything Else Is About, and in their explosively textured live show." (listen OTPMD) (Red Wig)

Outlaw Order

  • Outlaw Order - Dragging Down The Enforcer - LP - 11€
  • "It's been eight years since Eyehategod's last full-length studio CD, but 4/5 of the group is in Outlaw Order. Jimmy Bower is the only EHG member not in Outlaw Order. Bassist Gary Mader steps in on guitar, and Justin Grisoli played bass on Dragging Down The Enforcer, though Pat Bruders (Crowbar) was recently announced as the permanent bassist. After releasing an EP back in 2003, this is Outlaw Order's debut full-length. Outlaw Order (also known as OO%) is very sonically similar to Eyehategod, and Dragging Down The Enforcer is heavy and sludgy. Thick downtuned riffs and thunderous drums propel the songs as they slowly obliterate everything in their path." (Emetic)

  • Outlaw Order - Legalize Crime - 7" - 4€

Ovo

  • Ovo / Nadja - Split - LP - 11€
  • "Over the last few dogs days of summer 2008, Italy’s OvO and Canada’s Nadja, got together in their adoptive city of Berlin at Einstürzende Neubauten’s andereBaustelle Studio. With engineer Boris Wilsdorf at the board, each duo began two songs and had the other duo finish them, Bruno and Stefania adding heavy, pounding rhythms and harsh, eerie vocals to Aidan and Leah’s ambient textures and bass-heavy drones. The album, while still heavy and still retaining signature sounds of both groups, turned out groovier and mellower than either band expected. But this mellowness gives the songs a greater sense of presence and allows for the intricacies and nuances of each individual’s contributions to be properly heard. With a final mastering by James Plotkin, this album sounds simultaneously harsh and lush, aggressive and warm. Having coffee after the sessions in the back garden, a wasp drugged on sugar flew into Leah’s coffee cup and drowned itself, traumatizing everyone at the table." (Adagio 830)
