Analena – Inconstantinopolis – LP – 8€

ANALENA is not one of many: ANALENA is an absolutely unique wave of sonic fantasy, rousing your imagination as it rolls uncompromisingly from the beginning to the end of the record. Therefore it is difficult to fit ANALENA’s poetics into a single mould – yet that does not mean that they disintegrate into a hundred pieces. On the contrary, on their new album ANALENA is compact and balanced. So take the journey through Inconstantinopolis – through the full frontal scream of lead vocal Ana, disciplined by sharp cuts of guitar and thickened by a thundering bass, which never escapes the focus of precise and sovereign drumming. Don’t miss the well-concealed melodies, nor the lucid guitar interplays. Abandon yourself to a music at once forceful and atmospheric, uncompromising and dreamy, precise and chaotic, playful and tense – to this complex and harmonious interweaving. A fixture on the map of the underground scene for over a decade, ANALENA has not fallen asleep on the laurels of its past. On the contrary, ANALENA is now even stronger and more determinedly persistent in its do-it-yourself activism. (Analena website) (Listen Analena) (Moonlee)

Analena – Carbone Based – LP – 8€

In the case of ANALENA, one man’s hardcore is another man’s noise is another man’s punk. Diverse but steady, from bittersweet melodies and blistering hooks to pummeling and aggressive rhythms, ANALENA covers all the bases. Carbon Based is their’s second album, recorded and produced at Kozmo studio, Zagreb, by the members of the band themselves, with the noteworthy assistance provided by members of Lunar, another remarkable and friendly band from Zagreb. Carbon Based is a statement by a smart and mature band, an honest expression of determination and passion in full force. ANALENA follows its own instinct by merging charming melodies with intricate and shimmering rhythmic relentlessness. Stunning and flawless instrumentation combined with witty and poetic slogan-free lyrics takes care of the rest. See you in the pit or see you with your headphones on. You are invited. Until then, as the band itself proclaims in the moving Work In Progress: « Stay alert » (Analena website) (Listen Analena) (Moonlee)

Concentration Summer Camps – Amour et Sourires – LP – 8,00 €

Amebix – « tribute to » – LP – 8€

« six great japanese bands like zoe, age, raw gauge, effigy, acrostix and life play great versions of amebix classic songs .. showing once more how big has been the influence of amebix on worldwide scene with the passing of the years » (Agipunk)

Altercado – El ruido y la rabia – LP – 4€

« Altercado is a chilean HC/Punk band. They play fast and raw southamerican punkHC with a slight emotive touch. Of course, I could use the everlasting comparison with Los Crudos. But I prefer to keep the band away from that. Actually, they’re above all a trio of southamerican punks claiming their anger and hatred of the social oppressions they’re under. The sleeve is a full-color gatefold one. » (Les Nains Aussi)

Alaska Pipeline – Master Of Puppets – LP – 8€

AI – The Sounds Of Hearts (Disco 1998-2003) – LP – 9€

Discography! Spawned from the same Japanese scene as Crude, Paintbox and Forward, AI bring fast, frantic hardcore with elements of the « burning spirits » and since they come from Fukuoka, rather than any of the large central cities, have a sound that sets them apart. (Pure Pain Sugar)

AR 01 – NED / OHARU – 10″

First production for the label and it’s a collaboration with Jason R from Niort a split 10 » gatefold releases to document their common french tour. Ned was found in Lyon in 1998, inside 3 members also founders of Sk records, famous diy label from Lyon (Doppler, Bananas At The Audience, Kabu Ki Buddah, The Rubiks…). The music of NED has allways been evolving from the early noisepunk, the trio opened to more diverse influences. Mixing now the former soup with swampy blues, cracky rythms, brutal anti-music concepts with always a taste for catchy melodies. OHARU from Bordeaux started in 1994 as a noise music band influenced by Jesus Lizard, Dazzling Killmen, Craw, Six finger Satellite, The Birthday Party, Pere Ubu, Magma among others… (Ned) (Oharu)

Ahkmed – Distance – LP – 10€

Great new album! More psychedelic than the first one. Looong tracks full of echo-guitar and trancy drums. Some vocals in track 1, rest is instrumental stoner-post-spacerock. Veeeery nice! (band website) (Elektrohasch)
