DEATH TO PIGS + MARYLIN RAMBO – VENDREDI 26 AOUT @ MONTAIGU‏

26 août 2011
20 h 00 min

RueBaron présente :

« TOUS CRAMES »

le concert de fin d’été avec :

Death to Pigs – Nancy

MARYLIN RAMBO – Frayssinous

Duo guitare batterie provenant des montagnes dans le joli parc des cévènes au pays du fromage de chèvre et des toilettes sèches, qui joue un math rock frénétique, tendu et appliqué comme le suggère le style mais avec l’énergie punk en plus, celle qui transpire la joie de vivre et détend l’atmosphère ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas;
Du coup ça reste bien alambiqué et tordu (utilisant parfois même les techniques américaines dites du « tapping » c’est pour dire !) mais sans le côté chiant et prise de tête.

White Wards – Waste My Time – 7″ – 4€

« Hailing from Olympia WA, this hungry quartet hands out 6 of the meanest sound-fights that city has ever swallowed. Heavy, fast and intriguing all at the same time (not an easy feat in our opinion). Sonically they land somewhere between the Face The Music era TAR BABIES and DEVOID OF FAITH. Flip, repeat, flip, repeat, We love this record. It’s easily one of the best ILR releases to date. They just finished a short tour with Condominium a few weeks ago and we heard nothing but good reports. Look out for them touring the west coast again later this summer. » (Iron Lung)

Locust (The) – Safety Second, Body Last – LP – 11€

« Everyone knows The Locust, and everyone knows what they are about. They are constantly changing and always pushing the boundaries of the punk and hardcore scene. With their follow-up to « Plague Soundscapes, » The Locust present « Safety Second, Body Last. » Recorded by Alex Newport, this album flows like a classical symphony, flying through five movements at lightning speed. This is the vinyl version of the CD released by Ipecac Records. » (Radio Surgery)

Plutocracy – Off The Pigs – LP – 10€

« Legendary Bay Area grind masters Plutocracy is back with another seven tracks of grind that stop and start without notice, with blast beats, double bass, shrieked vocals, a love of weed and a hatred of the cops. » (Forestmoon Special Products)

Interlude – L’Hiver – 7″ – 2€

Interlude was finally born when the Criatura‘s male singer joins the drummer, bass and guitar players from Nevergood, in winter 2005.

In October 2005 the band recorded 3 songs in Montreal Studios (Subiza, Nafarroa) for their 7 inch debut, and 6 more songs in Ultramarinos Costa Brava (Sant Feliu de Guixols, Girona) in January 2006, for Les miserables cd. (Midi D’Ossau)

Pre – Hope Freaks – LP – 11€

« 2nd album by London’s new-school naughties PRE. Totally intense, blazing and blasting Spazz-Rock. Sorta hectic, but always(!) maintaining structures! Think of a totally AWESOME(!) combination of MELT-BANANA with CHINESE STARS! Very VERY impressive!!! » (listen Pre) (Skin Graft)

Erase Errata – Nightlife – LP – 10€

« 3rd full album by this band, who is now reduced to a threepiece since guitarist Sara Jaffe has left the band. Musically the 12 songs here are still of the same typical funky and danceable Post-Punk skronk as before (maybe sounding even better and tighter than ever…), but lyrically it seems to be their most political album to date! » (listen Erase Errata) (Kill Rock Stars)

Zu – Carboniferous – LP – 15€

« Roman free-metal no-wavers Zu have been known for their high profile collaborations, embarking upon joint ventures with such avant-garde heroes as Thurston Moore, Damo Suzuki, Han Bennink, Ken Vandermark and Mats Gustafsson, plus members The Stooges and Fugazi along the way. It’s not especially unexpected then that Carboniferous, the band’s Ipecac debut, features collaborations with Melvins main man King Buzzo and professional guest vocalist (and Ipecac honcho) Mike Patton. The two veterans of all things avant-metal must feel entirely at home in the noisy, grindcore whirlpool the Italian band harness, and the combination of an overdriven rhythm section with an unruly sax yields hugely satisfying results. throughout, keeping the energy levels painfully high right up until the grisly conclusory track ‘Orc’, in which Patton takes up vocals and electronics, improv-ing it out, Middle Earth style. » (Trip Und Traume)

Zach Hill – Astrological Straits – 2xLP – 21€

« For Hill’s own solo release he enlisted a number of former recording partners and included a number of new ones. Guests contributing to Astrological Straits include Les Claypool, Chino Moreno, No Age’s Randy Randall and Dean Spunt, !!!/LCD Soundsystem’s Tyler Pope, Marco Benevento, Prints’ Zac Nelson, Marnie Stern, The Flying Luttenbacher’s Jonathon Hicshke, Satori/RX Bandit’s Steve Borth, The Advantage’s Robbie Moncrief, Them Hills’ Dan Elkan and Hella bandmates Carson McWhirter and Josh Hill. » (listen Zach Hill) (Anticon)

Youth Gone Mad – Rotten – 7″ – 1€

Youth Gone Mad is an old punk rock/ hxc band from New York. Think to Black Flag, The Germs.

Released in 1997 by Panx.
